Dose control and the law
Monitor the dose on an ongoing basis, so that at any time you can prepare a report in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health (concerning diagnostic reference levels) and the current KCOR template. This will protect you from the risk of compensation or problems with control bodies.
In accordance with the provisions of Article 33u and Article 33v, sections 1, 6 and 7 of the Atomic Law, health care units are obliged to:
- Conducting internal clinical audits: no less than once a year.
- If necessary – upon written order of the head of the health care unit.
- In interventional radiology – after any incident leading to radiation skin damage.
